Wild Ginger
Wild Ginger is a high-energy four-piece cover band based in Truckee, California, serving up a vibrant mix of rock, blues, pop, and Americana. Fronted by a powerhouse redhead on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, this band brings passion and grit to every performance. With searing electric guitar leads, grooving bass lines, and tight, dynamic drumming, Wild Ginger delivers a sound that’s both fresh and familiar.
Known for their electric stage presence and deep love for the music they play, Wild Ginger transforms every show into a celebration—whether it’s a rowdy bar gig, a summer festival, or an intimate private event. Their wide-ranging setlist spans decades and genres, with something for every listener to get up and dance to.

Shannon Carroll
Lead Vocals & Guitar
Shannon is a local Truckee artist whose background in music started at a young age. From singing gospel in the church choir, learning harmonies through her parent's country music influence, she has found her musical path performing her own interpretation of a blend of Americana, folk and rock tunes. Shannon's vibrant personality comes to life when she is on stage with the help of her diverse and talented band members.
Subra Doyle
Lead Guitar, Vocals
Subra Doyle is the lead guitarist for Wild Ginger. He has twenty years experience performing live music both in a solo capacity and in other bands. He started playing guitar at the age of seven and completed his B.S. degree in Audio and Music Production and since has worked in recording studios around the world. Subra is a multi-instrumentalist recording artist and film composer and was nominated for best original score at the Berlin Film Festival. Subra also shares his love of music through teaching and currently is a full time music instructor at Tahoe Truckee School of Music.
Subra has a unique style that cannot be replicated and always leaves the audience wanting more. He plays with heart and soul and adds that special sauce to Wild Ginger that people have come to love.
Morty
Bass Guitar
John Morton came from a musical family. He grew up with his parents playing piano, harmonica and accordian. Morty started with trumpet and soon moved to guitar and then bass guitar. Since the age of twelve, Morty has been in various bands and in his younger years was covering artists such as Van Halen, Zepplin, The Beatles and Rush, to name a few.
Morty's biggest assest to the band; other than his solid bass skills, would be his bass face and his sense of humor.
Stilleto
Drummer
Tim Stilleto got his first drum kit when he was five years old. Playing and recording for bands like Fang, The Boneless Ones, Grinch and Specimen; helping cement the sound of 80's punk and alternative music and influence bands like Nirvana, Mud Honey, and Green Day, just to name a few.
Stilleto is the Rock to our Steady in Wild Ginger and he elevates the sound with his creative rhythm choices.
